We have seen very rarely that an active politician had become President in the past. The latest example that comes to mind was Sardar Jail Singh. Mulayam Singh Yadav had so many tricks up in his sleeves that he would not leave the premise of active politics at an young age of only 72.

Get real.
Democracy is a covert mask for Oligarchy in India.
Indians are brainwashed to believe that "voting in elections = democracy".
