In one recent case one aged couple had bought a vehicle and some time later they discovered that the vehicle was not in conformity to the specification the manufacture had advertised. They sued the manufacturer and the court granted them the recompense. I don't remember the name of the couple, the brand of the car nor the manufacturer.

A few years back I used to often see an ad saying that if an ad gives wrong information about a product then a complaint should be made to them and they will get it corrected. I do not remember the name of the agency which was giving that ad.

There are laws available which punishes them and cancel their license. Consumer Protection council also plays a key role.,
