The Indian cricket board on Wednesday slapped a $US50,000 fine on soon-to-retire bowling legend Shane Warne over a bust-up between the Australian and an official during this season's IPL. The punishment casts a cloud over Warne's last game of professional cricket on Friday when his Rajasthan Royals team take on the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League.

JAIPUR: The BCCI fined Rajasthan Royals skipper Shane Warne $50,000 (approx Rs 22 lakh) on Wednesday for publicly charging at Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) secretary Sanjay Dixit and accusing him of being a liar. However, the Australian spinner has survived a one-match ban, which means Warne will after all get to play his last IPL match - against Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede stadium on Friday.
