Even the most uncorrupted police for the most case will just lol at you especially because u suffered no financial loss and this ain't a banking / commerce site. If someone steals from ICICI bank vault, the action taken by police is sort of different than in a case where a person steals from a chai shop. GEtting hacked in QnA is sort of like getting swiped in a chai shop. If u got ur mastercard or visa account hacked, the case becomes official since finances and financial institutions are involved directly.

If the police (corrupt and non corrupt) is able to catch the hacker red handed (highly unlikely) they will act otherwise the case will just b ignored and a net saavy cop might just tell u to open a second email address.
