Q.

I hv seen a video clipping when the women protestors were violent on Police officer, when Police Officer thrash the Lady... the Police officer got suspended..

Do the Authority wants their Police Officers should accept and absorb the violence of Protestors?? Why there is no action when Police face Public violence??

Thats the very meaning of democracy i feel ppl if get troubled specialy in the events like this they have evry right to protest ....and police are neither supposed to go go violent nor physical over the protesters......and i just m watching a debate kind of thing on sm news channel whr i senior person just said that police always get trained how to react in such matters and are never supoose to loose balance even when they are provoked hopelessly... ........before they enter the service so such a act frm police is smthing like affensive an act ....!!

I agree with Ms Bhuvana. Police is recruited, trained and deployed for the protection of the people. They are not supposed to beat them, thrash them or push women around during a protest march. I have seen burly policemen, slapping and holding women by their hair and dragging them around in Punjab. In local papers here such photos are splashed on front pages. Suspension is nothing he will be re-instated again after a period of time with full pay and arrears of what was withheld during the time of his suspension.
We only see such police vs people (women) on tv from other countries too. But in India is the worse.

Police is trained to control mob and they are quite efficient but its all about order's from seniors which delay matter who again are controlled by politicians.
when sudden emergency comes there are other forces to tackle them eg CRPF,RAF.

The Delhi Police have miserably failed to discharge the duty under the Indian Police Act,1961, they failed give protection neither the highest dignitaries like Mamata Banerjee C.M OF BENGAL as well as citizens and their face appears to support the outrageous of the modesty of women.

Police is supposed to prevent crimes, keep a record of all the criminals staying in the vicinity of their Police Stations, and keep a strict vigil on their activities. Police in our country has failed in this duty, in fact they connive with them and become partners in the crime, and criminal activities of these 10 numbery people. The anger against the people is because of this failure of the police, and police has no moral strength to contradict this view of teh people. That is why such situations arise. How will the police fight against the same people, who, they know within their hearts, are right.

No one can have a firm & generalised opinion about this and the history of incident matters alot.
But smart police would try to avoid any such act atleast in public.
