What research work can be taken up in sikkim. I am geography student and I want remote Sensing and GIS technology to be used in it.

firstly, remote sensing and GIS are only tools like MS Word etc. Hence to rely on tools only is dangerous...you have to have a development plan which can be aided by techniques like rs and gis. you could look into the water regime and do some modeling of water availability if data is available....you could also do a hard zonation using the above techniques. however, community centric programmes and technology applications are the sought after fields...
