I have shares in demat form buy I can't find folio number of share. Please tell me how to know share folio number as available in physical form.

My dear sir, once the shares are in demat form, folio number is not required at all. thats why it has been withdrawn. you do not need the folio number now all you need to know is your demat account numbers and regarding the shares the ISIN NUMBER ( this is available inthe demat statement ) of the shares of a particular company

In case ur shares r in the demat form u have to know the ISIN number which is written on the left hand side of ur statement.Folio number is not necessary for any purpose.In case u have shares in physical form the folio number can be found from the front if it is original or from the back of the certificate if it is a transfered one.

With demat a/c,physical shares have been transferred into paperless form
now no folio no. exists
it is like bank a/c
they show hpw much money is in deposit in your a/c
not the number of noted or their distinctive nos,as u deposited them
