As Per The merger of the two firmsRIL And RPL the merger date is 1april 2009, So If u r having 200 shares of RPL on 31 March 2009, U will get 12 shares of RIL and the remaining shares of RPL i.e 8 NOs U will get the money of that equallent as per the RPL share value on that day. So As per that better to U have to purchase 8 more shares of RPL, then you will get Total of 13 shares of RIL, if u r not purchased the 8 more of RPL, u will get the 8 shares RPL money to u r related account, it might be very low amount as per this present market, u might have loss some amount.

Record date for conversion of RPL share into RIL Share is yet not declared. You have to just divide the number of RPL shares held in your a/c on the recorde date with 16 . In your above case you will get 12 RIL Shares i..e. 200/16 =12
