Q.
Metros all over India have reached a point of over saturation with regard to civic amenities, infrastructure etc.But why many MNCs and big industrial houses in India still set up their business in the metros adding to the woos there. Is it not time for the respective state governments to pass legislation prohibiting this trend? Your views?

1)That is not surprising because the business needs sound infrastructures and they are available in cities only at present. Blame the governments for the unplanned growth of cities in India. That is one of the reasons as to why the central government came up with the idea of Economic Zones exclusively for business enterprises.
2)There have been reports about the setting up of entirely new cities in the proposed Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor as well as in Gujarat (Dholera) and Karnataka (The Vijaynagar Area Development Authority).
3)If the Greenfield projects like the above materialize, things would improve in the days ahead.
