We love our nation and thats why we are paying taxes. But have u ever thought what is happening with the money collected by taxes from the innocent people? Do u think all the money is being utilized for the welfare of nation? No my friend. no. A major part of the amount is being spend on the luxuries of the politicians. A common man who is earning around 3 lac per annum is liable to pay around 7500 as income tax. This person can never think to go to a five star hotel with the family. but Our honorable leaders can even take a cup of tea at the common place.

If any of us escapes from our responsibilities and duties towards our nation willfully and not due to incapability then we can't claim any more that we love the country.

Many people sort of avoid paying taxes esp in biz field because they must have paid 3-4x the backsheesh for official formalities during course of the transaction. I am not sure if the bureaucracy or the Govt loves the nation itself?? I mean, 50 yrs worth our GDP is in Swiss Banks whaddya say about that?

I would advocate paying taxes, but u sort of don't pay it w/a grudge because from a PUBLIC SERVICES standpoint - which is supposed 2 b the HALLMARK of Independent India- I see no improvement.

The power shortages are getting worse. The food shortages are getting worse. The prices are getting higher ad higher. Other than rare gems like national highways, creating the subsidized education system, PDS etc., over a 50 yr lifespan one sees no major infra innovation or development from the administration that collects tha taxes.

There is no town planning at all. I had a very small scale but hard workin' self employed dude in the locality who saved up a LOT to buy an A/C so his kids ...more
