Cool means relaxed, stable and undisturbed by the situation in which you are!

People use this word "COOL" to mean to pacify, stability of mind, Normalcy of the situation etc. ... thereby itz used as smiley to mean something else other than itz lexical meaning.....I 've heard ppl saying CALM, NO PANIC, etc,. instead of using COOL DOWN .....

No. I do not understand what they mean when they say 'cool'. May be they find it fashionable. When someone is extremely annoyed, or is upset, one may say 'be cool'. But they use it literally anywhere.. Once I made a nice remark on an answer, and then was astonished to see a comment 'cool'. I feel, someday I will say something like 'no comments' and they will say 'Hot' ... he he he .. I feel the language is really changing.
