Q.

I find it very peculiar that some ccommunities are not comfortable with western ideas, i find this in the Maharashtrian community as well. some of them stare at peoples clothings, are rude and distasteful. it becomes very difficult to like them because of their very conserative ideas

U r right. This is a recent trend due to the influence of the politically motivated fanatic organisations who have already spoiled d young minds. These organisations hve d backing of political parties. The part of world from which an idea came is irrelevant. Everyone is free to choose wat /.he likes. Others hve no right to question it. It is a fashion to blame other countries for watever happens here.

Dont Europeans and Americans stare at typical Maharastrian dress if they see in their country?
They ridicule much more than what Indians do with their dressing.
People stare, comment or object to dress code if its out of place.
