Hi Arti. To lose weight you need to do cardio exercises 4-5 days a week for a minimum of 30 minutes at a non stop brisk pace. Choose from aerobics/walking/swimming/cycling. Light weight training will help you shape up & lose weight faster. Do this 3 days a week. You will need to work with a trainer to start.
50% of the weight loss will happen by watching your diet. Eat 5 small healthy meals in the day. Cut down on fats, oily foods & sweets.

Hi arti,
first and foremost, set realistic goals for losing weight. its not possible to lose 10kgs in a month, hence set you target to lose around 2 kgs a month.
start trying with light exercises like stretches, crunches pushups etc, slowly you can increase the intensity of your workout.
watch what you eat, reduce eating fried food, chocolates and pastries. you can eat these stuff but everythinbg has to be in proprtion, DONT starve yourself. let you diet comprise of everything - dal, roti, salad, rice but eat in the right proportion.
WALK WALK and WALK - this is the best exercise, try brisk walking everyday for atleast 30min. this will help you burn atleast 250 calories a day. be sure that your wear good quality shoes to avoid damage or injury to your ankles.

Eat less and donate the saved money to the poor..u could go for morning walks 10 kms a day..stop eating ur favourite stuffs...
