After booking e-ticket when it arises, then go to file and click print option. Then in general there is a option 'print to file', select it . then give the name as pdf extension like ticket.pdf . then click print then it will saved as a pdf in your home folder.

Take a printout...go to any fax service provider...ask your friend to do the same....fax the tkt to your friends fax service provider. you will pay Rs 10 and so your friend. this is a easiest way.
or
copy the tkt and paste as word file. send to your friend as an attachment. if your friend is having printer he can take the printout.

Get the print scanned from the market and corier it to him. However the best would be to tell him your user id and password, which can be changed by you after he has downloaded the ticket.

Go to the site: http://ruzbeh.info/?p=197. it gives you the complete details on how to download, print or save and e ticket without needing a scanner, directly from irctc.
