Q.
Now there are movies coming up, portraying Dawood's character with the same name by Akshay Kumar (Once Upon A Time in Mumbai - 2) and Vivek Oberoi (Shootout at Wadala).
All these years, the name was not used (or probably not allowed to use).
So, is it an attempt to white-wash a certain image?

Yes of course.. After all 'D' gang is fully active in Bollywood.. They invest seed money.. Naturally they command the story writer and the director.. Even the choice of lead role is as per their wishes.. Naturally they are trying to make 'D' a hero, from a villain.. Current image is being whitewashed, and needs further coats to bring him to India.

May be because whole bollywood is still controlled by Dawood who is sitting in Pakistan and controlling whole bollywood that is why so many pakistan actors are given chance in bollywood and Dawood wants to clear his image by way of films because he knows indians are foolish ppl and u can easily manipulate with their feelings
