Yesterday's news an ex Volleball champion of India after she was widowed and did not get any help from the govt. or anywhere else had to take to flesh trade to survive,. Is'nt it a shame on our sports bodies and our govt.

It depends upon the case to case.There is no commitment by any govt that they should go on give flat or some type of compensation.If the financial position is worst/sympathetic the Govt will definitely step into.Can u analyse yurselves what was the earning of foot faller during hhis life time and what was his investments.Go on analyse yourself

Yes and that is exactly the reason India is not producing many sportsmen, inspite of having a huge population of over 110 crores. More than what you said, it is a fact that she did not have Rs. 10000/- being the bail amount to get released from the prison

Hemant ji i personaly met this girl as this was case of my city (raipur) and even my NGO helped her getting her back to mumbai but frankly i didn't develop any sympathy with her during whole conversation. She was victum of circumstances but she had other options, she was not dragged to it.
