As a teacher U R reading all text books of school / colleges.- read them again to find out alternative meaning of every new words as you go on reading, from a dictionery.
As teacher you are doing 'Public speaking' so you need to learn grammatical sentences. You don't need to master the entire English language.
What you need to have some basic communication there may be say not more than 200 to 300 sentences depending on type of subject you teach so restrict learning of grammatical sentences to your Business needs - can learn from the tex Books, magazines connected with teaching profession, News papers, Business news on TV and Internet.
Purcahse some Audio cassets - if you can afford - to speed up the learning process.
Start and continue writing in English - where ever possible, using some good grammar books and with a weight age to improve your script.
