I am not able to connect the surround sound system to my LG 3D TV, there being no phono/RCA connections on the TV. What is the best way to connect the surround sound system to my 3D TV?

HDMI cable is the best way to connect the LG World Record 3D TV with the surround sound system. However, if your system does not have the optical audio in, you would need a Digital to Analog Stereo Audio Converter which can be purchased on eBay India or Flipkart. Then you need to have an optical cable for the connection between the converter and the TV and a photo to 3.5mm cable between the converter and the sound system. The optical output of the TV should be able to give audio to the home theater with this method.

There should be an optical in socket on your surround system and the 3D TV has a 'PC Audio Socket' to facilitate the connection of the two. The best way of connecting the surround system to the TV would be without the external devices such as hard disk drives.
