Some of the ongoing trends in bridal lehengas are:

1) Choice of fabric: For winter weddings, fabrics like silk, raw silk, velvet will be a good choice. For weddings in summer, girls prefer georgette, net, chiffon, because theyre relatively light in weight and easier to handle.

2) Lehenga Cut Patterns: A-line, fish cut and straight cut lehengas are some of the popular cuts which are opted for the skirt. You can pick one depending on your body type.

3) Choli Patterns: This is where brides tend to experiment and can showcase their oomph factor. Backless, sleeveless, low back with a string on the back, criss-cross strings, there are numerous varieties in choli patterns on offer today.

4) Embroidery: Most brides prefer to have heavy embroidery work on their lehengas and it is the embroidery which lends the lehenga its unique characteristic. These days, traditional embellishments with Swarovski crystals, gota work, contrasting colour patterns are much in demand.
