Q.

I am a designer and have been using color printers for office work. I usually require 20-25 prints per day and at this pace I quickly run out of cartridge ink. Is there some way to save on ink usage?

I totally understand your problem. There are few tips I would like to give you regarding printer usage. But before I do so I would inform you about refill kits. These kits come with all the apparatus required to safely refill the printer cartridge and they can be used to refill around 3-4 times, helping you cut down on the costs. Apart from this you can follow these few tips: print only when necessary, organize your prints such that you print less number of times, switch off power to the printer when not in use, and keep the cartridges alive. There are lot more useful tips which you can follow. Check these out at http://printerinkcartridges.printcountry.com/inkjet-printer-ink-c artridge-use-tips/10-tips-printer-ink-cartridges/
