Few decades ago in India, many of the students had their teacher as role model not so now. Why ?

The standard of Teaching and teachers, by and large, has fallen over the years - mostly because of other available greener pastures and reservation policy

Everything has changed with the passage of time..; science and technology has changed even man's mentality, as a whole, to a great extent...; it has brought the world very close but has separated man from man......,things like attachment, sentiment, concern have disappeared.....upbringing and guidance at home also has affected the children's mentality as well.., children are not motivated and taught to obey and respect their elders....and hence they have formed such a peculiar behavior pattern that they are not capable enough to differentiate teachers from other elders...and hence the disrespectful attitude ........ however, not all blame goes to the students and their parents....., the integrity of the teachers and their dedication also appear to be missing to a great extent with the exception of a few......., thus their lack of motivation, concern and devotion to their jobs has taken the students far away from them....... hence, the 'guru shishya' relationship cannot be expected any
