She should go to her home and file a police compalint. It is not a crime to give birth to a girl child. This man is not reliable.

It depends on the education, social/economic status of the lady who is facing this predicament and the education of the family. Police, divorce are the alternatives of last resort when marriage is to be broken. I think trying to convince two three times by self, through saner members of family or some friends who are close to the idiot husband should be tried first and with full earnest. Parents of the young mother should also play a role. When there is irretrievable situation, only then police or divorce should be contemplated. Murdering a wife who has sired a daughter is easy said than implemented. If threat is severe and the wife feels that the husband is a potent criminal only then she should teach him a lesson including his mom-in-law who in my opinion will be behind the threat.

I eally feel the abhorrence, in most cases, for a girl child escalates from paternal grand-mother. WOman hating woman. Unpardonable.
