Ignoring is the best way.

by reacting to the others behaviours you are indirectly showing concern, and this question if that person sees again provoked and do nuisence.

just hear from one ear and leave it from another.

dont ask questions which may attract them.

Ignoring is the best option
One should retain own level
We can not stoop down to their level
However if such provocations exceed a limit one should not shy away from taking action

I see such people daily in my real life. I feel motivated and will take it in a positive manner that someone is jealous to see me rising, knowing that I will attain higher levels. I take good out of it and remaining doesn't exist for me..! :)
