When a judgement goes against the Public expectations - Will it have more impact and evoke the sympathy for the culprit or the public ?
Only the other day, people were rejoicing about the effective judiciary when the licences got cancelled. -Now when a different verdict has come out, how is it fair to say it would evok sympathy either for the culprit or public. We need to have the maturity to accept the verdict.
Having said that, there are always avenues available for the aggrieved to knock at the doors of the superior courts, who may or may not favour the appellant. It is a process that will be gone through.
And in the same vein of thought, there should neither be any sympathy FOR THE ACCUSED.
It should be left to the wisdom of the courts of law to first decide whether the accused is a culprit or not. Only then the question of sympathy should come in.
Public expectations depends on their source of information and knowledge of any case. The expectations are also tainted by their affiliation to this or that political party, or this or that ideology.
