We can be geared up for such attacks only if people in India and especially TN seek to reject the LTTE and not come out in suport of the same

Unfortunately, we are only concentrating on threat from Pakistan & other bad luck for us is we have more foes in our neighborhood than friends like Bangladesh, Nepal, China & LTTE in south. Another problem is many political parties in south has soft corner for LTTE.

LTTE have targeted India even when they were not advancing around our country. What have our security or army have done. I doubt if anything has been done.

On the contrary, people all over the world feel that TN Govt. supports them and since they are an important part of the UPA at the centre, UPA indirectly supports LTTE . Which is a bad indication.

Kautilya defines an inimical country as the country which is on our borders. The same view was reiterated by Dean Acheson, the thenSecretary of Foreign Affiars,USA in 50s. If we have ifnored this basic position we will have to thank ourselves. Howefer, our Naval Commander has only the other day confirmed that we are alert on our Southern maritime border and prepared for any eventuality. In any case with the LTTE almost trotally supplanted in Shri Lanka the worst they can do is some pinpricks for rousing sympathy in South India. But such an attracxk could as well be counterproductive; Terrorist attracks by Muslim terrorist allegedly from Pakistan has already antagonised Muslims here and they have refused to spare space in their Kabristans for the 9 ones killed during 26/11. This is symptomatic of extreme opposition for the hatred has egone beyond living persons even after their death. The LTTE sympathises in TN would be similarly disillusioned should LTTE try any dirty game. But aparat from ...more

LTTE is so close because, Srilanka where they are trouble makers is very close to Tamilnadu. However LTTE is almost finished now, and trying to woo our tamil brethren to fight with Srilankan army. There is no chance of LTTE attacking India in the present phase. If at all LTTE is able to form a country, then it will be headache. What west wants is a christianity dominated country, Pirabhakaran converted to christianity to garner support form west. But it appears as if west plans failed this time.
