In Malayalam as well as Tamil "Namaskaram" with joint hands over the chest is the proper respectful way; "Namasthe" has become more common recently. Typically Tamil way is: "Vanakkam"

Its Namaste in Sindhi. Another salutation which was previously used quite a lot was Ram Ram. Now if you say Ram Ram people think you are a BJP supporter.
