If you have windows8 or windows7 user and you have lost your desktop icon data, then you try Kernel for windows data recovery software to recover all over data files and folders from window NTFS and FAT partition. For more information please visit here: www.freedatarecoverysoftware.org

If you would rather fix this problem yourself, go to the "Let me fix it myself" section.
If you are not on the computer that has the problem, save the automatic fix to a flash drive or to a CD so that you can run it on the computer that has the problem.

This does not apply to Windows 8. If you are using Windows 8, please see Pin Internet Explorer to the Start screen and taskbar.
This wizard may be in English only; however, the automatic fix also works for other language versions of Windows.

Important Windows 7 no longer supports the ability to modify the registry to get the special Internet Explorer icon to appear on your desktop. This change was made to ensure Internet Explorer could be removed easily for compliance reasons. The only way to add the Internet Explorer icon to the desktop in Windows 7 is to create a shortcut

In Windows 8, you can customize the way you want. Desktop shortcuts can be created if you are not comfortable with accessing through program. Try pressing these keys together Fn and X
