In curries u can add pieces of plantain shoot ( the portion inside the banana plant) and remove them after some time! Caution: some masala may also be lost.

Put a piece of charcoal wrapped in a cloth in hot food and take it out after 10 minutes ...you may need to add salt again to taste ...it works miracle
