The best and authentic Dalmoth is made in Agra.. and basically they make very thin sev of a powdered Dal called moth dal.. and fry them in Ghee, and mix deep fried sabut Masoor in it... then they add spices which include black pepper, turmeric powder, aesaphotida(Hing), and salt, red chilli powder and tartaric acid to make it sour... this is the basic dalmoth, they also mix fried Cashews to make it rich...
