How to apply for passport
1.Take a web appointment and you can only visit them mon-sat 1430-1730Hrs
because if you go directly there'll be a long line of brokers and public to take a token before 0930-12 noon valid for that day only.Once you have a token they'll need to
entertain you on that day. Only the person with appointment can enter .
2.Fill up the forms http://passport.nic.in/ or kar.nic.in/passport/ & carry cash instead of a DD(No cheque) .
3.Make sure you have the documents and originals for verification while submiting the application .Some of the MEA -Passport Office staff and the Police staff outside are RUDE,INDIFFERENT and don't care .Its CHAOS .
4.On application Acceptance You get a receipt which says you can track the status of your application.

You can download the form from the Central Passport Organisations Website http//www.passport.nic.in.
Fill all the columns carefully and legibly. The application may be submitted to the passport office concerned either in person or through a representative carrying an authorisation letter or by registered post.
