UP assembly elections, phase-1 report on candidates:
All major parties have put up candidates with criminal cases in the first phase. SP has fielded 28 such candidates, BSP - 24, BJP - 24, Congress - 15. Several candidates have serious criminal cases like murder, attempt to murder, kidnapping, robbery, extortion against them. BJP has fielded 12 such candidates , BSP - 11 , SP - 11 and Congress - 5. Among major parties, the average assets per candidate for SP are 1.74 crores , for BSP - 3.83 crores, for BJP - 1.56 crores and for Congress - 1.34 crores.
So, which party has better chances?
