Start conversations with new people

Chat back to people who try to talk to you

Take time to talk to people you already know

Invite people to do things with you/the group

Make an effort to bring new people into the fold and make them feel included

Get out there, and put yourself in front of audiences. As many as you can find. Friends, office colleagues, strangers, classmates. The more you put yourself on the line in front of a group, the better you will be at it next time around. Makes no difference if the context is work, play, potential romance, education, community functions...use all these occasions to practice speaking up. Learn how to free yourself from panic, worry, compulsions, and fear...!
