How s the performance of various solar devices meant for saving of electrical energy?

1.
Except solar water heater, no other major equipment r still econamically viable. With 10 years payback period only dumbs or govt. buy those appliances.

Not so good response of solar devices right now.. need more attention on manufacturing excellence.. for its uses by common man with low cost.
