If it is love beauty will never matter, the only thing matters is your emotional connect. However, if it is infatuation or attraction beauty is the biggest driver.

To me, physical beauty plays an insignificent part in love since it's very short-lasting while divine/spiritual love has tremendous strength to make love long-lasting as it never fades if one plays the part with heart & soul.

I don't think that beauty matters as a priority when you are in love. I think being attractive helps at the very beginning, i.e. to actually make you want to approach someone but I think love is far deeper than how a person looks. Love is more about their personality and how you feel when you are around them, as well as how they make you feel when you are with them. It's more likely for mates to fall in love a lot faster(from my experience) than meet someone off the street and fall in love quickly because you know your mates far deeper

Actually the love between a male and female is time bound and circumstantial.

If there are two girls one is ugly another b'ful a boy willbe infatuated toward the b'ful one. This is the modern love.
Now if the b'ful one was a little beautiful or more b'ful then too; she would have been the target.
Secondly when she will be old and her charm will erode, no body will be attracted. No body will love.
So, thus, the love is circumstantial.
