Normally, I buy domestic appliances and gadgets during festive seasons when companies come out with lucky draws or discounts. This happens in Goa during Christmas/New Year, Ganesh Chathurthi, Diwali or Dussera festivals. They also normally have exchange the old and take a new piece during such sales/discounts.
This Christmas, we will exchange our old washing machine.
Not 'damn' cheap but we get reasonable discounts as well as some gifts e.g. with the Samsung TV, we got an electric iron and with the oven, we got a hair dryer.

Definitely .... I do wait for the monsoon sales @ Nike, Levi's, etc .... some good bargains they have on footwear and clothing.

Honestly speaking .... shopping is something I hate with heart & soul....I only step into a shop or Mall if I 'm barely in need of something....& I never wait for any declaration of any declaration of SALE or big discount

I visit many a times.. Infact i visit malls only when there is a sale as such :)))
The Big Bazaar stuff which none of my family entertain .. i still give it a look n then a thought :), The other good malls n brands keep offering interesting discounts how to not consider...The festival discounts you get good on electronic goods.. why will i miss that.. and i do it only after good survey of the market .. not just go and get myself fooled out there :))
