U can go ahead & try but don't be shocked if u read a news report that large numbers of common foot soldiers are deserting, especially those who hail from agrarian areas. U don't want to use ur own security forces against ur own people who are doing nothing more than saying "we're fed up w/ the myth of McCapitalism & we don't feel like going hungry for ur Mercedes Benz's anymore"
If we use military on NAxals, u can b assured we'll be called the People's Republic of India or something within 10-15 yrs. Even if u don't unless govt is ready to redress equal development, the same will happen.
Either way, it's happening whether we like it or not , especially after 1991 economic policies affecting agrarians.
