I am not going to comment on the particular SI's case. I am not going to celebrate his death but I am not mourning it, except I do feel bad about his family.

But about Tamil Nadu being the safest place on India, I have to really ??? ?? ? on that. There is not much harassment in TN state from civilians but then for common folk, it is very much a police state in the same league as Myanmar.

After 10 o' clock PM or most certainly 11 o' clock PM, if u r caught loitering about in most towns in that state, even for buying ur daughter medicine or coming back from late nite show, the police have powers to harass u and detain u and book a case on u that u were somehow a nuisence and a danger to society. Unless u have an influencial person's contact number in ur cellphone database, u r at the mercy of the cops, and many in TN state use this as an opportunity to run kidnap 4 ransom gangs- Find random dude at night, impound him, issue a bogus FIR, then demand a huge money for his release. ...more

I feel that the Mininsters along with the security and other accompanying officials should be charged with murder, as to not to prevent murder or somebody from dying is as good as killing itself, so they should be immediately taken in and given a deserving punishment

It is the nexus between the politician, police and the hired killers the cause of such incidents. Of late this phenomenon is on the rise and even ex ministers are killed with out much ado. As such all three are hands in cloves and they fear each other and such things happen in day light. And unless the politicians decided not to support such hired killers police will also like this that is in effective in checking such killings.

It is just a freak case.
Those ministers have already apologised.
Nothing much to read further.
