Popularly known as Raja Raja the Great, is one of the greatest emperors of the Chola Empire who ruled between 985 and 1014 CE.
He promoted International trade by patronising "Thisai ayirathi ettu Ainootruvar", which is an ancient tamil trade organisation which carried on trade from the length and breadth of the Indian Ocean From the Arabia to the Malaya.
Rajarajas reign is commemorated by the Siva temple in Thanjavur, called Raajarajeswaram.

He was definitely one of the greatest kings we ever had. He was perhaps the real founder of the mighty Chola empire. He patronized brahmins, built the great temple at Tanjore called the " brihadeeshwara temple". Call it ill-luck or lack of effective communication between the north and south of india, that when the islamic invader called "mahmud" was busy demolishing temples IN NORTH INDIA, Rajaraja was busy in extending his own empire in the south.Had there ever been a fight between him and the chauvinist "ghazni", I'm sure he would triumphed

NEVER PAY ATTENTION TO SUCH PIGS WHO SPREAD HATE ( LIKE THE first ONE ABOVE i.e.:- Mohamed). He is definitely the master of all the pigs in the world
He doesn't even know the basic FACT THAT MANY VERSES OF THE VEDAS WERE SUNG BY WOMEN SUCH AS GARGI.
HE CLAIMS THAT THE VEDAS ENDORSE FEMALE INFANTICIDE.
WHILE THERE IS NO DOUBT THAT BOYS WERE PREFERRED IN THAT PERIOD, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO SUGGEST THAT GIRLS WERE KILLED AT BIRTH.
ABOR ...more
