No we don't but we the Assamese celebrate BIhu. We celebrate three Bihus.
1. Magh Bihu or Bhogali Bihu which is our harvest festival and which falls on Makar Sankranti
2. Bohag Bihu or Rongali Bihu which we celebrate on April 14-15 and we also celebrate the Assamese New Year then.
3. Kati Bihu or Kongali Bihu which we celebrate on the last day of the month of Ashwina to pray for a good harvest.
