Are most of the members here actually stockbrokers at the BSE by profession?

No Joyoti. One doesn't have to be a stock broker by any chance either with BSE or NSE. Incidentally NSE is far ahead of BSE in terms of volumes, almost to the tune of 1:10.

It is purely a passion, a subject of interest and to top it, the best way to protect your money something that many may disagree with me but would go wholesome with it once they understand the logic of the thinking behind it. It protects your investment, doesn't devalue your worth, is a hedge against inflation and the best bet for a future if you are to take a long term perspective on that.

Of course, I don't expect you to take this at face value at all, because many see it as another form of gambling and a convenient way to make easy money. It doesn't work like that as people think. For any serious investor (please see it as totally different from speculation), it does involve a lot of research, study, awareness of each sector of the economy, keeping upto date with what is happening like announcements of Go ...more

I feel most of the members are in this forum due to their passion for participating here. Of course they may be couple of stock brokers here. Therefore it not correct to describe most of the members here as stock brokers.

..because..
The number of stock brokers of at the BSE are in a four digit number.
The number of members here are in six to seven digit number..
.. however, most of them (including me) are infra sub broker grade.
