Coorg a district in Karnataka is also known as Kodagu. It is a a hilly district lying on the eastern slope of Western Ghats.The Kaveri River rises to the east of Coorg giving a scenic view to the plce. The highest peak in the mountainous landscape of Coorg is Tadianmol with an altitude of 1,750 meters. The major town in Coorg is its capital Madikeri. Coorg is rich in wildlife and there are three wildlife sanctuaries in this palace:Brahmagiri Wildlife Sanctuary, Talakaveri Wildlife Sanctuary, and Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary. Coorg is also famous for its national park called the Rajiv Gandhi National Park. Coorg is famous for interesting varieties of flora and fauna. Rich rice fields and varieties of plantation crops abound in Coorg.

Yes its a place in karnataka . its a beutiful hillstation with a unique culture and traditions . hte best thing abt coorg is its folklore associated with way of draping saarees . coorgan women wear saarees very beautifully!
