Only twelve people have walked on the moon, each on one mission only. Nobody has walked on the lunar surface since 1972. The astronauts concerned are: Neil Armstrong, Edwin Aldrin, Charles Conrad, Alan Bean, Alan Shepard, Edgar Mitchell, David Scott, James Irvin, John Young, Charles Duke, Eugene Cernan and Harrison Schmitt.
