Justice PR Shiva Kumar (of Madras High Court) granted the stay on Ghajinis worldwide release on 25 December. A Chandrasekharan (producer of original Tamil film Ghajini) filed a suit that the Hindi produced obtained the remade rights with fabricated documents. However, the court stay has come after the prints had been delivered to the distributors and the exhibitors.
