There are newspaper reports that Kangana Ranaut shot for the scene which was a take-off from a real life incident. There was a wardrobe malfunction that happened with model Carol Gracias in the Lakme Fashion Event in 2006 where her dress dropped to expose her breasts. It was sensationalized in media. Cut to some days back, director Madhur Bhandarkar wanted to create the same scene for his movie Fashion. According to media reports, the scene was shot at Mehboob studio with Madhur, his cinematographer and a couple of people who were needed for the shot.
