The calorific values for fat, protein, carbohydrates and alcohol are as follows:
Fat: 1 gram = 9 calories
Protein: 1 gram = 4 calories
Carbohydrates: 1 gram = 4 calories
Alcohol: 1 gram = 7 calories
...therefore 1kg of fat = 1000 grams = 9x 1000 = 9000 cals per kilo.

1kg is about 7700 calories , because one pound is 3500 calories. if you lose that much a day you will lose some pounds

Mass cant be equalized to calories
but
e = mc^2. using that
1 Kg = 1 x 9 x 10^16 joules = (9 x 10^16)/4.184 Calories
