Sai Ram. SIP means Systematic Investment Plan. You can choose different Mutual Funds (some focussed on equity, some balanced, some focused on specific sectors etc.) thus spread your risks. If you are young, SIP is suitable and you could also look at one or two plans with insurance options. If you are already well settled and don't need insurance, go for pure equity based plans.

SIP is the best and easiest way of investing money in mutual funds particularly in equity oriented schemes. It means Systematic Investment Plan, means at regular interval say monthly or quarterly you are investing a fix amount. In this you are not effected by market volatility and helps you by " rupee cost averaging ". 10 year time horizon is very good for this and you can expect 18 to 20% return from this. I would advice to go diversified equity funds like Relaince Regular Saving Fund, HDFC TOP 200 Fund, ICICI Dynamic Fund, Tata Equity PE Fund and Birla Sunlife Dividend yeild Fund with Growth option. Also advice you to review your investment every year .

SIP is systematic Investment Plan. Where by chances of making loss are averaged a lot.

You can get SIP from Banks.

If the luck is good your investment will multiply 100 times.
