But if this is not an option.

With the engine off, find the accessory drive on the engine. It will either have one large single serpentine drive belt or more than one V belt.

Find the air conditioning compressor.

On this compressor there will be an electrical connection, a wire bundle with one or two wires. Disconnect this wire connector. Use something lie a zip tie to secure the wire away from the accessory drive belts.

The wire you just disconnected is to the electric clutch that engages and disengages the air conditioning compressor clutch. With the wire disconnected, the air conditioning compressor clutch will not engage and there is no significant drag on the engine.

With the air conditioner compressor disabled, the blower will blow air, the heat will work. You just won't get any cold air when the air conditioner is running. The coolest the air will get woul ...more
