Australia can be a good country for any foreign student to study in.

However, the Indian based agents for some tertiary institutions in Australia do not always paint an accurate picture of life and the cost of living in my country.

I would strongly recommend that prospective students make a quick trip to Australia to carry out an "on ground" inspection of their University and the social/economic environment in which they will live while in Australia BEFORE they sign any contract.

This cost of a quick visit to Australia could turn out to be a very sound investment as the cost of education is relatively high AND it is very difficult to obtain a letter of release from an educational institution, if things do not work out there.

The cost of living in Australia is another important consideration. At least A$500, per month, will be required to cover living expenses ie rent, food, power costs.

Employment is also not always easy to find unless one intends ...more
