Investment means for long term ( 3 to 5yrs). if you are doing it for short term then it is speculation.
Investors make money for themselves wheras speculators make money for their broker. Now you know why all the broking outfits come with intraday and short term recommendations

First take a mediclaim policy for you and your dependents ,if you dont have such a policy. If you have any property insure it.
Then you should have a life insurance coverage of atleast to the extent your ten year salary. Check the coverage in your existing policies. There are some cheap term insurance policies which give good coverage for lesser premium. ...more
