Some people are above worldly prizes. Gandhi Ji is too big a personality for such a small award.

In the ultimate analysis. Gandhiji was a politician. He may mean a lot to Indians and for the rest of the world population, he is not Gandhiji as we Indians feel. But the Nobel Laureates, ( if awarded in the proper spirit without any discriminatory attitude or nepotism - as happens in case of Nobel Peace Prize or Literature) are great people who have no controversy behind. If Gandhiji was to be awarded Noble Prize, he would get it in Peace. Now see who are the other recipients. But when we compare Gandhiji with Einstein, I have no doubt to say Einstein is more recognized by the world than Gandhiji.
So, awards are not the true yardstick to gauze one's bearing on the whole world. Many American Presidents have got Noble Peace Prize and Mother Tereza also got it. You now decide who was bigger - Gandhiji or Mother Tereza. .

Like comparing gold with Bronze
Gandhiji is great and accepted by all as Father of our Country.
Comparing this , any Noble, or Nobel PRIZE is just like Bronze.
More over, Many are getting nobel prize becoz they are following Gandhian way

Mahatma gandhi never did anything great for India. He was responsible for India's partition and the great massacre that followed. He was in a position to stop the execution of Bhagat Singh, Rajguru & Sehedev but he preferred not to speak.Do you think he deserves Noble Prize for these deeds?
